Forelle pears are easily identified by their red lenticels, or freckles, which appear in bright contrast to their brilliant yellow skin when ripe. They are one of the smallest varieties of pears, just a little larger than Seckel pears. The small size and naturally sweet flavor makes them a fantastic snack.
