The Fuji was developed in Japan in the 1940s and introduced in 1958. It is a cross between the widely grown Red Delicious, and the much less known Ralls Janet. Fuji apples are super-sweet, crisp and juicy with white flesh which snaps cleanly. They are great for baking or sautéing, as they hold their shape when they cook.
